TS Debby ESF-8 Response
ESF-8 was very active throughout Tropical Storm Debby. OEMS had several staff working the SEOC and RCC-East, in addition to setting up a State Medical Support Shelter (SMSS) and overseeing the deployment of 15 ambulances. Staff for the SMSS were provided by CapRAC MRC, Central Carolina SMAT II, and Eastern SMAT II. Special thanks to our EMS agencies who responded and to Duke Health for providing Central Carolina a large portion of the clinical staff who assisted at the shelter. Great job by all involved!
